5 Things to do When Your Child is Born

In this article, you will learn about 5 things to do when your child is born. Coming home from the hospital with a tiny person can be much overwhelming and leave you feeling complete. Staying organized can help your sanity while you trying to figure out exactly how to be a parent and help your baby develop and grow. Here below several things to do when your child is born:

1. Find a Place for Hospital Things

FIND-A-PLACE-FOR-HOSPITAL THINGS

When you are in the hospital, you get all sorts of little remembrances – the name card from your baby’s bed, baby hats, hospital bracelets. These are the types of things that you want to keep. If you have a dedicated place for keeping the baby’s remembrances, then this is a great place to keep them. You can do a shadowbox or something similar to that.

I am a slacker and have not done anything till now with the things we got in the hospital, but I make sure to store everything in one place so I will not lose it. It will be fun to look back at it later and show your child how small his wrist was!

2. Schedule your Baby’s First Doctor Appointment

SCHEDULE-YOUR-BABY’S-FIRST

Before you go from the hospital, the doctor or nurses will tell you when you require to schedule your baby’s first appointment with the doctor. Usually, the baby’s first appointment is around 1 1/2 weeks after the baby is born.

They just need to make sure that the baby is gaining weight and I’m sure it is apparently for you to ask some questions, too. Schedule an appointment as soon as you get home so that you can take an appointment at the appropriate time. Regarding this Newborn Specialist in Palam Will doing great work.

3. Schedule your Doctor Appointment

Birth is traumatic. Your body and your wife’s body parts go by some seriously crazy stuff. Before you go out of the hospital the doctors will tell you to schedule a postpartum appointment after 6 weeks after your baby is born.

I think it is presumably just as important to get this appointment scheduled soon because OB/GYN doctors are usually pretty busy. Make sure to get this done as soon as possible so that when your baby is 6 weeks old and you will feel better, you can get a Green Light from the Doctor.

4. Send in Paperwork

To get the authentic Social Security card and birth certificate, you have to send in paperwork. I am pretty sure that most the hospitals will give you this paperwork, but if you have not been given any paperwork to fill out and sign before you go, ask the hospital staff and find out what you require to do. Most of the hospitals just give an envelope to fill, they will mail it for you.

5. Fill out the Baby Book

Baby book has a place for what you are doing when she went into labor, how long was she in labor for, how much weight she gained, pretty much all the general birth things, and then it should also have a place for things like headers from the day. You can also do some of that beforehand, but the birth things you will have to do after the Baby is Born.
